Tupelo Honey Playlist 3/27/12

My mailbox at the radio station is a mysterious thing. It's always full of CD's, some from prominent artist on major record labels, some from the station program director, some from people trying to get their self-made release on the radio. But some are an absolute mystery.

One such mystery is Joe Fletcher & The Wrong Reasons. I'd never heard of them until a few months ago when their sophomore release White Lighter ended up in mailbox. The strange part is that the CD was released in December of 2010. Did it take two years to get through the US Mail? Or did the band get picked up by a new label who decided to re-release it? Or did a listener or DJ think that I'd like it and sent it to me? I have no friggin idea.

But what I do know is that it is SPECTACULAR! The song "Say What You Will" (see video above) might be one of the best I've ever heard. The whole disc is worthy of your attention. I don't understand my mailbox and how stuff ends up in it, but every once in awhile I'm very, very grateful.

Till Next Week
Ciao
