Best Songs of 2009

Well here it is: a list my favorite Americana songs of 2009. No easy feet to narrow the massive list I compiled over the year down to a mere 20 but its done. If you ask me to reassemble this list in a week I'm sure the order will be vastly changed. Just a reminder that individual songs are such a personal thing. Heck, half the songs on my list I've never heard anyone else in the country play. Doesn't mean I'm wrong and they're right it just goes to show that individual experiences, tastes and preferences play a massive role in what we deem a great song. Hope you enjoyed this show nearly as much as I enjoyed putting it together. Next week I'll reveal my "Top 20 Americana Albums" of 2009, hope you can make it for the show.

Till Next Week

Yep ... think we shared one song on our respective lists (Son Volt), altho a few other artists were on both (albeit with different songs). Nevertheless, another fine list! Looking forward to doing just a plain 'ol show this Thursday myself. Favorite albums of the decade in a few weeks.
