Tupelo Honey Playlist 4/14/09

One of the best CD's this year is from Michelle Malone. She's no newcomer. She's been making records for 20 years but nothing previous comes close to her new CD Debris. Just great blues rockin' with a twangy edge, she also writes from a refreshingly honest woman's perspective. Hard CD not to love. The good news is she'll be at Sam Bond's on May 14, you can bet your ass I'll be there.

Great new music this week from Slaid Cleaves (IMO the best disc he's ever done - and he's done some good ones), also Scott Miller, Catherine MacLellan, Sara Watkins, Ramblin' Jack Elliot, and Pierce Pettis, just to name a few.

Till Next Week

Ciao
