This sort of hits show is fun to do, but I always hate falling behind on the new stuff. Speaking of which, have you heard Fernando Viciconte's new album, True Instigator? He's a Portland songwriter I've been following for years, but he's never put out a stronger album. It's available for free download at his website for the moment. Maybe it's just the hispanic connection, but he reminds me a bit of Alejandro Escovedo (which you know is a green flag for me ...).
