Tupelo Honey Playlist 11/25/08

So during tonight's show I was describing the inability of Americana artists to fit into any stereotype. Country has its image, rock has its own, reggae, bluegrass, it doesn't matter they all seem to have an image. Americana has no common thread.

Natalia Zuckerman is a classic example. Look at her picture and see if her appearance says "Americana." Yet she's in the running for my choice for Americana song of the year. Damn I love this genre.
